Abstract

866,487. Electromagnetic switches, switch cases. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. Nov. 3, 1959 [Nov. 14, 1958], No. 37228/59. Class 38 (5). The rectilinearly-movable armature and bridging contact assembly 10, 11 12 of an electromagnetic contactor has projections 4 slidable in slots 3 in two spring guide members 2. The fixed contacts 13 are carried on supports 5 which are pivoted on pins 6 of the members 2 and retained by the bevelled ends 8 of the members 2 engaging in recesses 9. The ends 8 can be sprung in a direction parallel to the axes of the pivot pins 6 to allow the supports 5 to be moved apart (Fig. 2) for the removal of the armature and moving contact assembly. The ends 8 are bevelled so that the supports 5 can be separated by applying sufficient force to the supports themselves. An arcing cover 14 retained by wires 15 also holds the supports 5 in position.
