Titanium alloys have a composition, in per cent by weight, within the following range: .Sn over 8 and up to 15... .Al.2.-.5 .Zr.0.-.10 .Mo.0.2.-.5 .V.0.-.10 .Nb.0.-.10 .Ta.0.-.10 .Si.0.25.-.1 .Cu.0.-.4 .Cr.0.-.4 .Mn.0.-.4 .B.0.-.2 .Fe.0.-.4 .Be.0.-.2 .Ti and impurities the balance.... The alloys may also contain O 0.002-0.3 and N 0.02-0.2. The alloys may be treated by air cooling from 900 DEG C and ageing for 24 hours at 500 DEG C
