Abstract

773,156. Orientating bobbins. HALSTENBACH, H., ROSENKRANZ, C. G., and PLUTTE, A., [trading as HALSTENBACH & CO.]. Jan. 25, 1955 [Nov. 19, 1954], No. 2232/55. Class 117 [Also in Group IX] An apparatus for orientating bobbins, comprises an endless conveyer 4, 5 which extends into the bobbin container 2 and which is provided with conveying trays which pick up bobbins 3 from the container and with fixed guide plates 14, 14<SP>1</SP> which project into slots in the trays so as to push the bobbins into central position therein. As shown, the bobbins as they pass upwards on the conveyer, are pressed inwards by springs 12, 13 and then by the fixed guides 14, 14<SP>1</SP>, surplus andlonger-thannormal bobbins being ejected by rotating plates 16, and badly-orientated bobbins by spring stripper 17, whilst fixed guides 18, 18<SP>1</SP> complete the orientation of each bobbin on its tray. The bobbins are discharged on to a flap 21 (not shown) which is pivoted to further orient the articles to drop down a shoot 19 (not shown).
