700,900. Shearing. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP ONTWIKKELINGMAATSCHAPPIJ POLYNORM. July 1, 1952 [July 7, 1951], No. 16573/52. Class 83 (4) An apertured cutter shear for section bars comprises cutters 3, 4 through which the section bar 1 is fed by rolls &c. 2 rotatably adjustable in a body 9. The cutter 3 is adjustable for blade clearance and the cutter 4 is reciprocated by crank mechanism 18 driven from an electromotor 13 on a frame 12. The body 9 is supported from the frame 12 by leaf springs 11 to allow the cutters to travel with the moving section bar. The frame 12 is adjustable on an arcuate cradle 26, carrying stops 24, 25, movable on rods 8. In use, the cutters 3, 4 are rotatable in holders 6, 7 on the body 9 to allow the driving mechanism 13. 18 and the holders 6, 7 to be swung on the cradle about the section bar to provide the best cutting angle for a particular section.
