Abstract
700,814. Angular bending. GAUTIER, L. F. Jan. 4, 1951 [Jan. 10, 1950; March 20, 1950; Nov. 17, 1950], No. 348/51. Class 83 (4) In a machine for bending tubes &c. the cylinder 44 of a fluid pressure or mechanical jack is hinged on a pin 45 to a T-frame 41 carrying an abutment roll 51 and stays 56 to which is secured a mandrel-rod 53. The ram 46 of the jack is pivoted to a grooved former 43 carrying a U-clip 48 and pivoted to the frame. During the swinging of the former the jack pivots on the pin 45. A slipper bar 50 may have a constriction at the bending point, Fig. 7 (not shown). In a modification, Fig. 11, the ram 77a is pivoted to a former 72a mounted in a frame 70a pivoted to the frame of the jack. An abutment block 86 is hinged to stays 82 pivoted to the frame and carrying stops 83.
