[Class 83 (iv)] In a tube &c. bending-machine in which the work-piece is supported by spaced abutments and is bent by a former moved by cam, screw, hydraulic, &c. mechanism, means is provided to strip the work-piece from the former after bending. A tube 11 is supported by spaced rolls 4 on a frame 1, 2, and is bent by a grooved former 5 on a hydraulic ram 6. U-shaped stirrups 9 mounted on removable roll supporting pins 7 encircle the tube and strip it from the former when the ram is withdrawn after bending.
