Abstract

708,839. Hopper discharges. BURESH, F. M., and CURLATOR CORPORATTON. April 21, 1949 [May 11, 1948], No. 20146/51. Divided out of 703,803. Class 78 (1) [Also in Group IX] Hopper 22 has discharge outlet 50, the fibre material being fed therethrough and over free rollers 25 by driven foraminous endless belt 31 to roller 40 which further feeds it over lip 41 to rotor 45, there being a pump 32 which sucks air between rollers 25, through the material and through belt 31 so that when the material is thin air rushes in and causes material to move thereto so that the material supplied is uniform in thickness. Hopper bottom 24 may also be perforated. Specification 708,803, [Group IX], is referred to.
