Abstract
A disinfectant detergent composition comprises cetyl trimethyl ammonium halide or cetyl pyridinium halide, a non-ionic neutral wetting agent or detergent which is preferably "Lissapol NX" (Registered Trade Mark), an alkaline phosphate which is preferably sodium hexametaphosphate, and an alkali metal silicate. To enable accidental contamination of foodstuffs by the composition to be detected, a very small amount of a colouring agent, e.g. phenolphthalien, or a tracer chemical, e.g. potassium chlorate, may be added. Specification 586,540, [Group VIII], and 599,542, are referred to.
