Abstract
575,891. Agricultural tool bars. BEAN, A. W. May 31, 1944, No. 10442. [Class 6 (i)] Cultivating implements are carried by members 6, each pivoted by an integral sleeve 7 on a bar 1 which has peripheral grooves 2 along its length to secure the members 6 in spaced position. Each member has a pin, bolt, etc., 9 pressed down by a leaf spring through a slot 7<1> to hold the pin down into the required groove 2. The members 6 have extensions 6<1> connected by tension springs to the cross rod 13 of a frame to pivot the implement-end down into the soil. The extensions 61 abut against the cross rod 14 which forms part of the frame 10-14 adjustable up or down by handle 16 with a locking pawl movable over a fixed notched quadrant 17. The limiting cross rod 14 may be arranged on the other side of the bar 1.
