Abstract

877,848. Tractor power-lift mechanisms. O'CONNELL, C. March 21, 1960 [May 25, 1959], No. 9949/60. Class 79(1). A device for attachment to a tractor power lift mechanism to increase the weight transfer to the rear wheels comprises a cylinder B housing a spring A to which is attached by means of a washer D a rod C adjustable as to length by means of a bottle screw F. A coupling E is attached to the rod and another coupling L is attached to a sleeve G slidably mounted on the cylinder B and to which it is connected by a bolt K, passing through a selected pair of a number of holes H provided in the sleeve. The device, N, may be connected, as shown in Fig. 3, at O to the upper link O-P and at R to a lower link of a tractor three point power lift mechanism (or at the lower end to a point on the implement near to lift arm) and by adjusting the screw F a weight transfer may be effected.
