566,045. Bearings. GLACIER METAL CO., Ltd., and BATE, J. May 7, 1943, No. 7264. [Class 12 (i)] [Also in Group XXVI] Means for sealing the joint between a porous lining, coating, &c. and the surface of a bearing, slide or shaft to which it is applied, comprises strips or rings of resilient material disposed therebetween. The joint between a sintered antifriction metal bearing bush 4 and a housing 3 having a lubricant reservoir 6, is sealed by rings 9 of cork, synthetic rubber, &c. mounted in grooves in the housing.
