Abstract

511,866. Bed rests. WALES, Ltd., and BLACKMORE, A. E. Feb. 26, 1938, No. 6111. [Class 52 (ii)] A bedstead or cot of the kind having a back rest adapted' to assume a vertical or inclined position is provided with guide rods 10 for the rest secured to the uprights 7a of the frame by screwed eye-bolts 11 fixed by nuts 13 and riveting over a washer 14, as shown in Fig. 3. The back has screwed eyes 17 engaging sockets in the top tube member 16 and sliding on the rods 10 and is supported in the vertical position by U-brackets 20 provided with a back flange to guide the ends into the supports. The rods 10 have heads 10a and nuts 15. The rest is shown in an inclined position for supporting pillows &c. in Fig. 2. When applied to wooden bedsteads the rest is -provided with eye-bolts at its upper corners and studs to engage the U-brackets.
