Abstract

316,457. Shaw, H., and Hibberd, S. Aug. 28, 1928. Rigid-jaw wrenches ; handles. -A box spanner is actuated by a tommy bar D adapted to engage slots C in the end of the tubular stem A and slidably carried by a part spherical member F mounted, in a corresponding internal groove E in the spanner stem. When out of use the tommy bar is moved parallel with the spanner and housed therein. Withdrawal of the bar from the member F is prevented by cotter pins or by pinching up the metal at the ends of the bar.
