Abstract
This is a system which enables a driver to summon a required rescue of emergency service via a cellular phone unit that connects with a central control. The caller, upon declaring a personal identification number (pin) is searched on a database system to establish personal details e.g. Blood type, next of kin, etc. The appropriate service(s) is/are then alerted. <IMAGE>
Description
Mobile Telephone Emergency Call System
This invention relates to the organisation of a system, which links the Public emergency services and other services specified herein to a national communication center, summonable by the subscribers personal cellular telephone service. see fig A.
Any person or persons which hold a current full driving licence is presented, upon the purchase of a new vehicle, with a cellular telephone bearing one preset summoning button.
the telephone is operated, the user shall be connected to a central receiving station.
These stations
Ar Mj:ė established progressively nationwide as demand and frequency of use deem necessary.
A controller at the center asks the caller for his or her personal code no.The purpose of the personal code is to minimise abuse of the system by unauthorised persons.
Upon confirmation of the personal code number, the controller inquires of the nature of the call. A computerised database system will be activated which shall list the callers personal details of age, sex, blood group, medical history, next of kin home and address and the presence or not of an organ donation consent.
The nature of the call and the callers whereabouts will be established and the appropriate rescue services or service shall be alerted.
The caller thereby receives the necessary aid as soon as possible.

The system works in co-operation whith the police, amulance and fire services the driver and vehicle licencing center, National
Blood Transfusion service the national organ donor organisations, one or more motoring breakdown organisations
The system is offered free of charge alonge with membership of a motoring organisation for 1st 2yrs upon the purchase of a new vehicle from appointed manufactures and dealers. Thereafter, a charge is made anually for the user to retain the service. the cost for the isr 2yrs is met by the vehicle manufacturers, the dealer and the motoring organisation.
To avoid abuse of the system, the user must: (i) Declare a personal code number.
(ii) Posess their own personal telephone unit.
(iii) Reveal all personal details demanded of them by the
controller.
(iv) Consent to a summoning fee upon the fourth and further
calls within any twelve month period.
(v) Pay a fee for any subsequent telephone unit, which
would replace the first unit through lose, damage,
theft or misuse.
Claims (4)
1. A telephone system, linked to a central control, enabling
the user to summon promptly a rescue or services.
2. A telephone system as claimed in claim i that is wholly
personal to the individual that is authorised to posess it.
3. A telephone system as claimed in claim 1 or c12 which may
be used as an alternative, by choice, to motorway breakdown
telephones, and can be operated on non-motorway roads and
areas as needed.
4. A telephone system as claimed in cl 1 or 2,3 that has the
facility, through data retreval systems a constantly
updated personal medical history of the caller.
