Abstract

A plastics screw cap comprising a security ring 13 attached to spirit 3 by relatively weak connecting bridge portions 14 is provided with a pair of shoulders 12, 22, one of the surfaces of each being disposed substantially normal to the axis of the screw cap so as to provide a pair of support surfaces for cooperation with stripping elements 37, 38, Figure 3, during ejection of the cap from injection mould 30, without producing stresses capable of rupturing the connecting bridge portions 14. Mould 30 is designed so as not to require mould members transversally moveable relative to the axis thereof for stripping operations. <IMAGE>
