Abstract

In an impact pulverizer or breaker for comminuting rock, hammers (7) disposed in a stellate arrangement are fitted on the rotor plate (6), which is surrounded by a coaxial impact member casing (3) and which is adapted to be driven about a vertical axis, said hammers forming baffles for the material for pulverization, said material being supplied at the centre. To enable the hammers (7) to be replaced easily, rapidly and without special tools, the rotor plate (6) has a central projection (9), the peripheral surface of which is formed with an annular groove (10). The hammers (7) have lugs (11) which extend radially inwards and engage in the annular groove (10). Abutment means (12, 13) are also provided against any radially outwardly directed displacement of the hammers (7). <IMAGE>
