Abstract
A rotary sequence valve comprises a body (111) including an inlet port (114) and a plurality of outlet ports (115, 117 for example) and a rotary valve member (112) housed within the body for sequentially interconnecting each of the outlet ports with the inlet port, drive means (150) being provided continuously to rotate the valve member relative to the body. A connector 129 mounted in a bore 112 in the closure member 112 is resiliently urged towards an end plate 119 of the valve body which incorporates the inlet and outlet ports. A through-bore 129a in the connector 129 is arcuately elongate at the end adjacent the plate 119 so as to reduce the time between closing of one port and opening of the next. The valve is used to control fluid- operated mining machinery. <IMAGE>
