Abstract

To enable accurate saw cuts to be made with a hand held circular saw, a guiding aid 15 is provided which can be mounted on the saw, the guiding aid being in the form of a guide member 16 which can be moved into engagement with the saw blade 2 and can then be extended forwards of the blade and locked in a position in alignment with the saw blade so that, when the saw is in use, the guide member 16 can follow a marking along which a saw cut is to be made. <IMAGE>
