Abstract

Apparatus for mixing batches of feed for livestock is designed to be added to existing agricultural grain storage installations and comprises a beater mill 20 for grain with input and output chambers 21 and 22 the output chamber 22 being connected to a mixing chamber 23 by a screw conveyor 28. The mixing chamber 23 is provided with a vertical mixing device 24 and has a bottom emptying conveyor 25. The apparatus is fed from the conveyors 4, 5, and 6 of the storage installations through shut-off valves 33 and metering units 40; it is also fed from a container 26 for additives. Sensors 35, 36 in the input and mixing chamber start and stop the discharge and transfer conveyors 25, 28 and also start the metering units, which are preferably augers and of which the delivery is set by setting the running time on an associated dial 43 or by adjusting the speed. <IMAGE>
