Abstract

A gate assembly for outdoor use in the manner of a stile comprises a prefabricated frame including two uprights 10 interconnected by a sill 12 which normally includes a downwardly directed spigot and a self closing gate 20 hinged to one of the uprights, the assembly being so arranged that it is prefabricated and transported to its place of use as a unit where it is readily erected simply by burying the sill and spigot. <IMAGE>
