Abstract

In a clutch, particularly for controlling a shaft 12 of a loom or a guide bar of a warp knitting machine, comprising an intermittently rotatable shaft 1 having a groove 2 therein, an eccentric 6 rotatable about the shaft 1, and a connecting element 7 providing an output member and having a strap engaging around the eccentric, the eccentric 6 carries a pawl 5 engageable with the groove 2 on the shaft 1 so that when the pawl 5 is engaged, rotation of the shaft 1 produces reciprocation of the connecting element 7. A spring-biased slider 14 forming locking means is also disposed on the eccentric 6 and in one position retains the pawl 5 in its engaged position and in another position locks the eccentric 6 and the connecting element 7 together. <IMAGE>
