Abstract

1308184 Looms SULZER BROS Ltd 17 March 1970 [18 March 1969] 12805/70 Heading DIE A loom has a clutch 76 in the drive to the cloth roll which is connected to a locking device in the weft selector or weft insertion means, such that when the locking device is in the locked position the clutch is disengaged. In an embodiment the locking device is a pin 50 which locks a weft selector 24 so that no weft can be inserted, and which is connected by rods 62, 66, 69 and 74 to the clutch 76 and a handle 64 which is used to simultaneously disengage the clutch and lock the weft selector 24. The cloth roll is driven from a shaft 75 which transmits drive through clutch 76 and worm 96 and worm wheel 97 which drives a chain 109 rotating the cloth roll.
