Abstract
1528976 Heating buildings STAMICARBON BV 27 Nov 1975 48858/75 Heading F4V A process for heating a building by means of heated air which is supplied through ducts to the rooms of the said building, the said building having external walls the insulation value of which is at least 1À8 (m<SP>2</SP>. S.K)/J and having external glazing the insulation value of which is at least 0À3 (m<SP>2</SP>.S.K)/J (expressed in S.I. units), is characterized in that the following measures are used: (A) Introducing by fan means into the building a quantity of air per hour between 150 m.<SP>3</SP> and the volume of the building. (B) Heating at least part of the thus introduced air by means of a hot water boiler inside the building, the amount of heating energy thus transmitted to the air being at least 60 KJ per m.<SP>3</SP> (C) Connecting each room to be heated to the said boiler by means of a separate continuous duct, the boiler being located within the building at a location whereby the total length of said ducts therefrom is minimal. (D) Injecting the air introduced into the building and consisting of or including the heated air, into rooms in the said building by passage along said ducts and through injection apertures located not higher than half the height of each room in that part of each room which is nearest to the said heating means.
