Abstract
1528347 Cable glands HAWKE CABLE GLANDS Ltd 26 Aug 1975 [24 May 1974 14 Dec 1974 1 May 1975] 23217/74 18228/75 and 54147/74 Heading H2E An electric cable barrier assembly, i.e. a device fitted to a cable to prevent ingress of liquid, solid or gas to the insulation thereof when the cable sheathing has been cut back to allow connection of the cable conductors to electrical equipment, comprises a hollow part 10 through which extend the conductors 32, a hollow second part 24 telescopically and non-threadedly engaged with the first part and which receives the cable, means 18 for drawing the two parts together in order to apply pressure to filler compound 33 which is located in the first and/or second part. The body is adapted at one end for connection to means for securing to the cable 30. Various configurations of the two parts 10, 24 are described.
