Abstract

1512510 Cladding P H MACDONALD [trading as GOODWOOD SYSTEMS] 30 April 1975 [27 June 1974] 28680/74 Heading E1W Cladding or partitioning panels 13 are supported by battening members 15-17 which have a web 23, 26 with a first flange 22, 25 extending along one edge and a second flange 24, 27 extending parallely with the first flange from partway across the width of the web. The second flange engages in a longitudinal edge groove in the panels to space them from the underlying wall which is engageable flush with the first flange. The members 15-17 may be fixed to a wall 14 by nails driven through the flanges 22, 25. The members may be aluminium extrusions and the flanges 24, 27 may have holes or slots or may be of discontinuous elongate extent so that the flanges 22, 25 may more easily be fixed to the wall 14.
