Abstract

1512200 Cigarette cartons MOLINS Ltd 18 Sept 1975 [22 June 1974] 27831/74 Heading B8P A flip-top packet comprising a body B and a lid L includes an inner frame F comprising side panels 121, 122 and front panel 120 positioned within the body 13 of the packet against the inner faces of the sidewalls 116 and the front wall 115 respectively with the frame projecting above the level of the rear wall 111 of the packet whereby when the lid L is closed it engages frictionally on the extending portion of the inner frame F, the frame and the walls of the carton having edges which abut to prevent movement of the inner frame towards the base of the packet. The front panel 120 of the inner frame is provided with projecting ears 130 which slot into slits 132 provided in the inner thickness 112 of the side walls 116 of the packet thereby preventing downward movement of the inner frame, and also with ears 123 which provide frictional contact with the lid L when it is closed. Alternatively wider slots may be formed in the inner side walls of the packet which engage detents folded from the lower edges of the side panels of the frame, or the slots may be present in the frame, and the detents be folded from the side walls of the packet.
