Abstract

A shuttleless weaving machine has the following elements between the stationary yarn package (6) and the shed, in this order: a thread draw-off device (5), a storage device (10), a thread clamp (12) controlled in time with the weft insertions, and an insertion member (3). The thread clamp (12) is arranged on the slay (1). This prevents the weft thread (4) from being overstretched during throw-on, where the thread clamp (12) is closed. <IMAGE>
