Abstract

1428104 Changing displays J & T ELECTRICAL CONTROLS Ltd 10 Aug 1973 [10 May 1972] 21678/72 Heading G5C [Also in Division H2] A display web 14, such as a route indicator in a public service vehicle, is wound between spaced rollers 16, 18, each containing a reversible electric motor 20, 22 and a gear-box 24, 26, a reversing switch 48 being used to select the winding direction. To tension the web, the supply roller is always driven at a somewhat lower speed than the take-up roller by supplying each motor through a diode 38, 40 is parallel with a resistor 42, 44. When one diode conducts, a smaller current is passed by the resistor of the other diode.
