Abstract
1427035 Inductors CONSTRUCTIONS ELECTROTECHNIQUES DU CENTRECETEK 9 Feb 1973 [28 Feb 1972 17 Jan 1973] 6553/73 Heading HIT An inductor is formed by a winding 39 on central core member 41 having a longitudinal axis 38 perpendicular to which are the planes of the stampings of two outer core members 36, 37, connected by flanged members 32, 33 on opposite sides of the inductor leaving on one side a space defined by members 32, 36, 41 and 37 and a corresponding space (not shown in Fig. 11) on the other side, each said stamping having inner and outer edges of complementary shape. Core part 1 may comprise hexagonal stampings with their planes perpendicular to axis 38 and with two opposed apices midway between the outer core members 36, 37 or rectangular stampings parallel to axis 38 as with core part 41, forming such a hexagonal cross-section. Other suitable shapes for members 36 and 37 are shown in Figs. 6-8 (not shown). An air gap of compressible polyterephthalate may be provided at L 3 . Member 32 may be extended at 32a to increase the core width from L 2 to L 4 , L 3 =L 1 . Members 32, 33 are deformed as at 32b, 32c to hold together the stampings of 36, 37.
