Abstract
1420295 Abrasion wheels TYROLITSCHLEIFMITTELWERKE SWAROVSKI KG 6 March 1974 [12 March 1973] 10113/74 Heading B3D A grinding wheel or rotary abrasion body 1 comprises granulated abrasive material and a binder, and a hub 4 formed by injection of foamed plastics material, such as polyurethane. The body 1 is moulded and treated in a furnace and the binder allowed to cool, the body preferably including active and inactive fillers. The body is placed on a moulding ring 2 having a diameter D equal to the desired internal diameter of the hub and a lower cover plate 2<SP>1</SP>. The space between the body and ring is filled by the injection of foam polyurethane plastics which also impregnates the hub area of the body, raising the bursting value.
