Abstract

1401095 Combined sail and rudder unit L A KATAINEN 9 Aug 1973 [11 Aug 1972] 37856/73 Heading B7V A mast 2 is rotatably mounted in a support sleeve 6 of an attachment member 7 and is connected to a rudder 4 which also acts as a keel, to form a unit which may be attached to a transom 12 of a boat for sailing purposes. A tiller 5 is connected to the mast and a projection 9 on the sleeve 6 carries a sheet for a boom 3. The support sleeve 6 may be pivotably connected to the member 7 so that the mast 2 may be raked in either the fore or aft direction.
