In sailing craft having a flexible mast 1, lever means 3 pivotable about a substantially horizontal pivot 2 at the top of the mast and extending fore and aft comprises a long arm 3b connected to the after-stay 5 and a short arm secured to the fore-stay 4. The arrangement includes pulleys 9 and 13 for the sail halyards.
