Abstract

1400615 Closure and container combination MATTHIAS FAENSON KLEINMETALLWARENFABRIKATION 22 June 1972 [23 June 1971] 29222/72 Headings B8T and B8C A flexible plastics closure 3 in combination with a container 2 for liquids comprises a substantially circular cover with a substantially cylindrical side wall having an annular projection 10 engaging a projection on the neck of the container, a skirt portion 7 at the free edge of the side wall and of increased internal diameter engaging a flange 12 on the neck of the container and welded, e.g. ultrasonically to the flange, a sealing disc 4 being provided between the cover and the neck and the cover having an insertion recess 5 for the insertion of a feed tube. The skirt 7 may also have an internal projection engaging in an annular groove on the flange 12 or under a projecting band or bead on the container flange. The container is preferably an infusion bottle.
