Abstract

1,223,397. Caps for bottles &c. NESTLE'S PRODUCTS Ltd. 27 Oct., 1969, No. 52396/69. Heading B8T. A resilient thermoplastics container lid comprises a central portion 11, sidewall 12 and flange portions 14 and 16 with a projection 15 extending downward from flange portion 14. The lid is placed on the container 1 by snapping bead 13 over bead 3 and is sealed by heat fusion or ultrasonic sealing of the projection 15 to the flange 4 of the container. The projection 15 could be on the flange 4.
