Abstract

1498010 Glazing H E HOUGH 10 March 1975 [9 March 1974] 10659/74 Heading E1J An extruded metal section has a flat surface 20 with a rib 21 along one side, and a lip 61 extending towards the rib and engaging in a groove in an elastomeric V-section strip 25 which retains pane 72 against the surface. Frame members (Figs. 2-5) of a fixed frame are fitted with an adaptor (24, Fig. 9) providing the lip 61 for fitting a fixed pane. Frame members of a movable window are extruded with the lip integral and the members are connected at mitred corners by angle members in grooves 65. Figs. 11-16 show members of a fixed frame which can take sliding windows. Figs. 17-21 show frame members of a sliding sash.
