Abstract

1483983 Frame members RE VOISIN and ENTERPRISE VOISIN 24 April 1975 [24 May 1974] 17122/75 Heading E1J An elongate heat-insulating frame member for windows and doors comprises a hollow T-section member 3, a U-section member 10 each formed from sheet metal and strips 11 of insulating material disposed between the metal members. The strips are formed with beads 13 and slots 15 to engage in the grooves 14 of the member 10 and with projections 12 to contact the member 3. The strips may be joined to form a single U-shaped member and the metallic member 10 may be absent. The metallic members contact the insulating material over a small area only, elsewhere there are air spaces (9), 16.
