Abstract

1373264 Glazing ELTREVA AG 21 Feb 1972 [20 Feb 1971] 7856/72 Heading E1R A composite frame comprises a metallic part 6 secured to, and spaced from, a wooden frame by means of snap-action fasteners 5a secured at spaced intervals along the wooden frame, the metallic part having a sealing strip 7 which urges a glazed unit 3 with a peripheral seal 2 against the back of a rebate in the wooden frame. The fasteners 5a may have flanges 5 screwed in the rebate and may be received in aperture 11 in a metallic strip 8 secured to the front of the wooden frame. For an openable window, the strip 8 engages a seal 9 on a fixed metallic frame 10. The strip 8 may be integral with the part 6. The seal 2 may have adhesive on each side.
