1482160 Damping hydraulic actuators FESTO MASCHINENFABRIK GOTTLIEB STOLL 28 Oct 1974 [7 Nov 1973] 46624/74 Heading F1D In a hydraulic actuator, Fig. 1 the end of the stroke is damped, when a boss 40 on the piston 39 enters a recess 37, by a restriction 46 in a passage 45. On the return stroke, liquid from a port 38 flows to a chamber 47 and in addition to passing through the passage 45 also flows past a non- return lip 53 of a backing-ring 49 and through grooves 64 in a recess 63 which houses the backing-ring. The restriction 46 is adjustable
