Abstract
1481882 Desalanyltetaine derivatives POLITECHNIKA GDANSKA 26 July 1974 [26 July 1973] 33017/74 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] Novel antibiotic compounds are derivatives of desalanyltetaine having the general Formula I, excluding tetaine [R<SP>2</SP> = (L)-alanyl, Z = O and R<SP>1</SP> = OH] and those compounds in which both Z is oxygen and R<SP>1</SP> is hydroxyl in which Z represents an oxygen atom, a radical of hydroxylamine (=N-OH) or of an alkyl-, aralkyl- or arylhydroxylamine, or a radical of hydrazine (=N-NH 2 ) or of an alkyl-, aralkyl- or arylhydrazine; R<SP>2</SP> represents a hydrogen atom, an alkanoyl group or a substituted alkanoyl group; and R<SP>1</SP> represents a hydroxyl group or a group of formula in which R<SP>3</SP> represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group; and X is an alkanoyl group or an alkyl or cycloalkyl group. The derivatives of Formula I are obtained (a) [Z#O] by reacting a corresponding derivative of Formula I in which Z is an oxygen atom with hydrazine hydroxylamine or a derivative thereof, (b) [R<SP>1</SP>=-O-CH(R<SP>3</SP>)-OX] by reacting a corresponding compound in which R<SP>1</SP> is OH with the corresponding chloroether of formula Cl-CH(R<SP>3</SP>)-OC, or (c) [R<SP>2</SP>#H] by reacting the corresponding compound of Formula I in which R<SP>2</SP> is H with an alkanoic acid derivative.
