Abstract

1479455 Coated particles FISONS Ltd 5 July 1974 [25 July 1973 30 Jan 1974] 35500/73 and 04221/74 Heading B2E [Also in Division Cl] A particulate substrate, e.g. a fertiliser, is given a single coating (as defined) which comprises less than 0.5 wt % of a polyalkylene (based on the substrate), and 40 wt % (based on the coating) of a mineral or vegetable oil or wax. The coating may also comprise a long chain aliphatic amine. The polyalkylene may be in the form of crystals of size <10Á. The coating may be applied by spraying onto a tumbling bed of particulate substrate, the substrate is preferably at a temperature below that of the closed point of the coating.
