Abstract

1473573 Container traffic unit transfer H BUSSING & SOHN GmbH & CO 8 May 1974 20209/74 Heading B8Q A base frame 1 which may be part of a container or other unit is mounted on a centring frame 14 of a vehicle and is secured thereon by locking means 18 entering sockets 12. The frame 1 has three or more articulated supports 2 pivotally mounted in arms 5 extendable outwards by sliding bearers 6. A support plate 9 at the end of the supports 2 has projections 10 and the supports are adjustable in length with the two parts 2a, 2b being securable by a pin 2c. In the supporting position the supports are secured by manually releasable latches 11 and are engaged by a strut 7 on an extendable bearer 8. The frame 1 has runners 3 and locating means 13 at forward end which co-operate with centring rails 15 and a stop 19 respectively on the centring frame 14 as the frame 1 is loaded on to or off the vehicle support runners such as a roller 16 is provided at the end of the rails 15 or runners 13. In a modification sockets similar to 12 are provided on the centring frame 14 and the pairs of sockets are secured together by double twist lock units.
