Abstract

1365183 Trollies APPLIED POWER INDUSTRIES Inc 20 March 1972 [14 April 1971] 12948/72 Heading B7B [Also in Division B4] A trolley for supporting objects, particularly an engine, includes a frame 2, 3, 4 having an upright 10 which rotatably mounts a plate 13 adapted for connection to the object. The plate 13 is mounted on a shaft 12 rotatable within a sleeve 11 fixed on upright 10, a chain clamp (20) (Fig. 3, not shown) being provided to lock shaft 12 in a specific position. Plate 13 has arms 13a and 13b, 13c having slots 14 and 15, respectively, for mounting the object. A further upright and mounting plate (50, 57) (Fig. 6, not shown) may be detachably mounted on the frame member 2, the upright position being adjustable along the length of the frame. The trolley may be provided with braking means 8, 9, and the front transverse wheel bearing members 3 may be shorter than the rear members 4. An engine may be mounted on one or both plates by bolting L-shaped brackets (Figs. 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10, not shown) to the engine and securing these to arms 13a, 13b, 13c by bolts passing through slots 14 and 15. The slots allow adjustment of the engine position.
