Abstract

1469476 Outboard drive OUTBOARD MARINE CORP 1 Aug 1974 [6 Aug 1973 30 Jan 1974] 33907/74 Heading B7V A marine propulsion unit 11 comprises a support bracket 13 attached to the transom 14 of a boat hull and a pin 31 carried by the support bracket. A swivel bracket 19 pivots at 17 about the support bracket to give movement of the propulsion unit from a normal operating position to a shallow water drive position. A reverse lock 41 is movably mounted at 44 on the swivel bracket for releasable engagement with the pin 31 to retain the swivel bracket in the normal position and a shallow water drive link 101 is also mounted at 44 for releasable engagement with the pin and to locate the swivel bracket in the shallow water drive position. Lever 121 is a selectively operable control element mounted on the swivel bracket and connected to the reverse lock by rod 141 and is operably connected to the shallow water drive link 101 by rod 151.
