Abstract

1464750 Knitting machines ELITEX ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 31 Oct 1974 [12 Nov 1973] 47287/74 Heading D1C The needles of a circular knitting machine are selected through selectors 3 which are biassed by associated springs 18 and are selectively acted on against the spring force by an electromagnet 14, the springs normally acting to rock butts 3' of the selectors into a wedge shaped recess 13 for subsequent lifting by a cam 25 unless the selectors are held by the electromagnet, the force of the springs 18 being adjustable in accordance with the resistance to motion of the individual selectors and the selectors being adjustable longitudinally in their tricks by means of an adjustable cam 11 upstream of the recess 13 so as to adjust the effective width of the recess and hence the time available for selection. A radially displaceable cam 10 may be used to cancel the selection. An axially adjustable ring 12 supports the selectors. Reference has been directed by the comptroller to Specification 1394777.
