Abstract
1325739 Knitting-machines RENFRO HOSIERY MILLS CO 12 Oct 1970 [13 Oct 1969] 48325/70 Heading D1C A circular warp machine includes a ring 36 which when lowered, lowers all the needles to a loop drawing level and which carries slides 40 which can be set individually to determine how far the needles are raised when the ring is raised. The slides are positioned by projections 44 engaging selectively movable cams 50. The slides may be positioned radially inwards of the ring, as shown, radially outwards or in an intermediate position. In the inner and intermediate positions respectively the top of the slide, or a ledge 40a, engages under the needle butt 11 and raises the needle to the clearing or tuck position respectively. In the outer position the slide misses the butt, which is then raised slightly by the bottom of the ring as it completes its stroke. The centering cam 50 is set in the. required position by electromagnets 52, 53.
