Abstract
1462270 Knitting-machines WIRKMASCHINENBAU KARL-MARX-STADT VEB 18 June 1974 [22 June 1973] 26910/74 Heading D1C A warp pile machine including front and rear pile instruments 4, 3 respectively also functioning as knocking over and hold down devices, is provided with weft thread pressers 9. The front instruments 4 are U-shaped to guide the pressers and have a slot through which projection 10 emerges. Pile threads are supplied by guides 12, 13 and a ground yarn by guide 14. Guides 8 lay wefts 17 between the pile instruments. When the needles are projected, pressers 9 are depressed, so that projections 10 hold down the wefts. Front instruments are adjustable to vary the pile height.
