Abstract
1461775 Foam bath concentrates UNILEVER Ltd 29 April 1974 [27 April 1973] 20043/73 Heading C5D Aqueous detergent compositions comprising a clear liquid phase having suspending properties comprising from 1 to 45% by weight of an organic detergent and having dispersed and suspended therein 0À5 to 5À0 mm. particles of hardened (defined) carragheenan or high methoxyl pectin (defined) and a water-dispersible pigment, the particles having the ability to disintegrate when the composition is diluted with water to release the pigment, may be used as bath additives to provide foam and to colour the bath water. The liquid phase may comprise an electrolyte. The suspending agent may be a water-soluble polymer of acrylic acid cross linked with about 1% of a polyalkyl ether of sucrose. The liquid phase may comprise 1 to 45%, by weight of triethanolamine lauryl sulphate, methylated spirit, triethanolamine, hectorite clay, potassium or sodium chloride, lauric cupropanolamide, lauryl alcohol, pine oil and glycerine. The detergent may also be sodium lauryl ether sulphate. The particles may comprise encapsulated liquid paraffin, the walls of the capsules comprising hardened carragheenan or high methoxyl pectin, titanium dioxide-coated mica, TiO 2 and pigment.
