Abstract
1458205 Pharmaceutical compositions PFIZER Inc 3 Dec 1973 [13 April 1973] 55900/73 Heading A5B [Also in Division C2] Compounds I, II, III, IV and their cationic salts in which R is OH, alkoxy, NH 2 or NHOH, R 1 is H, alkyl or phenyl and each of R 2 , R 3 , R 4 and R 5 is H, halogen, alkyl or alkoxy and in addition R 2 and R 3 or R 3 and R 4 may be methylenedioxy or ethylenedioxy have anti-allergy properties and from with a carrier a pharmaceutical composition which may be administered orally, parenterally or by inhalation. The composition may also contain theophylline or sympathomimetic amines. Ethyl 7, 8-dimethoxy- 4 - oxo - 3H pyrimido[4, 5 -6 ]- quinoline-2-carboxylate causes hypertension and bradycardia in dogs.
