Abstract

1456381 Developing electrostatic images AGFA-GEVAERT 13 Dec 1973 [10 Jan 1973] 1412/73 Heading G2H In a process for the "wetting development" of a latent electrostatic image at a surface of a material 1, the material 1 is conveyed along a path through at least one zone in which developing liquid is brought substantially uniformly in close proximity to and/or into contact with said surface by applicator means, and then through at least one zone having means for removing some of the developing liquid which has been deposited on said surface. The developing liquid removal means may be a helically grooved roller 5 revolving in contact with a sponge-like pad 14. Developer applicator rollers 3, 4 are preferably of the kind described in Specification 1456210.
