1441785 Edge-runner mills KARL HANDLE & SOHNE MASCHINENFABRIK UND EISENGIEREREI 1 Nov 1973 [3 Nov 1972] 50748/73 Heading B2A An edge-runner mill has two runners 2, 3 Fig. I mounted on horizontally projecting arms 10, 11 extending from a main shaft 7. At least one runner coupled to a coaxially-arranged hydraulic motor. As described both runners are driven by independent motors 12, 13 which are supplied with pressure fluid from a pump 16. Discharge may be via a grid 6 in the pan bottom 1 and a rotatable plate 27 driven by the main shaft, or driven independently Fig. 2 (not shown) in the same or opposite direction. Discharge may also be via one or more independently controlled and driven belt conveyors Fig. 3 (not shown).
